A beginner level introduction to spirits for those starting a career in the industry or pursuing an interest in spirits.
Conducted by Aruni Vaswani for individuals new to the subject, this qualification offers a hands-on introduction to the world of spirits. You’ll explore the main styles and types of spirits through sight, smell, and taste to develop an understanding of the key factors affecting flavours and aromas.

Assessment
Assessment is by a closed-book exam of 30 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 45 minutes at the end of the course (end of the day). To pass you must correctly answer 70% of the questions.
Successful students will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.

Final bookings are required a minimum of 2 weeks before commencement date.
6 hours of tuition plus a 45 minute examination on Monday 17th February 2025 after the final session has been completed (Exam from 4.15pm -5pm).

Dress Code: Fully buttoned shirt tucked in, belted dress trousers (including belt), enclosed shoes with socks must be worn by all guests and members. The following items are not permitted to be worn at Royal Perth Golf Club at any time: Denim clothing of any description, tracksuits, cargo shorts, board shorts, singlet’s, thongs or shoes without socks, women’s dress sandals and heels accepted. The club reserves the right to refuse entrance.
